Lunch.. in quaint coffeeshop
Surprising, to many ppl, there's a charming n wholesome side to JB ! There's a row of small shophouses along a little terra-tiled road just across the causeway. And a GEM of a coffeeshop there!
The specialty is the local coffee, and kampong egg (traditional style, served in saucer, options of pepper n light soysauce). Kampong egg, with a huge orange yoke!
A malay stall operates in e coffeeshop, starting from brunch hour ~1030am.
Today, i had a selection of fragrant white rice, rendang, sotong sambal, quail-eggs & spinach, served in a bamboo-basket lined with waxed brown paper. Top that up with kopi (in a real cup n saucer) & a 3/4 boiled kampong egg.. YUMM.. and RM10.20 for 2 happy stomachs.
That's my sustainance for the afternoon ;)
Msia/Spore style!
